The Ripple in the Net

 The Ripple in the Net

In the endless blue of the deep sea,

A tiny life swam, wild and free.

A fleeting existence, a moment of grace,

Drifting along in its own little space.

But a silent trap in the water was cast,

And the little fish's brief day was its last.

Caught in the threads of a human hand,

Its heartbeat faded upon the sand.

How strange and stark is Nature's decree,

Bound by a chain that we cannot see.

One feeds another, a balance so deep,

A solemn promise the universe must keep.

As the heavy nets rise toward the sky,

The story ends with a quiet goodbye.

We come and we go, like waves on the shore,

But the timeless ocean flows on evermore.
