The Hidden Enemy

 The Hidden Enemy

Strong metal stands through storm and rain,
Yet harm can rise from deep inside;
What seems so firm may slowly fade,
When silent flaws are left to hide.

A mountain falls not in one day,
But through small cracks that grow unseen;
The greatest loss begins within,
Where weakness quietly has been.

No foe can break a noble soul,
When heart and mind remain sincere;
But doubt and anger, if they stay,
Can steal the light we hold so dear.
