Silence of Distances

Distances stretched into endless paths,
Roads turned toward different directions,
Scenes remained alive in memory,
Togetherness continued within the heart.

Seasons passed without letters arriving,
Words faded before being spoken,
A heartbeat echoed from within,
Connection grew stronger through silence.

The moon stood witness in the sky,
A star kept company with the night,
Love crossed every measure of distance,
One soul remained close to another.
