Yearning of the Tree

Yearning of the Tree

A silent life standing on earth’s chest,
Roots holding stories in quiet rest.
Leaves trembling in the touch of air,
Reveal a pain they never declare.

Branches tired under the sun’s embrace,
Seek comfort in the rain’s grace.
Moments touched by the hands of time,
Remain in silence, deeply aligned.

Scars hidden within the bark’s embrace,
Carrying life’s burdens with grace.
Giving all without asking in return,
Standing as shade where hearts can turn.
