Smoky Dream

Smoky Dream

A faint smile at the edge of night,
a vision before sleep arrives.
A dream wrapped in drifting mist,
moving gently within the mind.

A distant sound approaches,
without words, without form.
A hidden longing awakens,
silence begins to take shape.

A memory touched by time,
changed in colour yet never distant.
A dream rising like smoke,
slowly merging into the light.
