Waiting for Spring

Waiting for Spring

Leaves fallen in the chilly evening,
Trees lining the quiet streets.
Memories weigh in the twilight,
Flowing silently through my mind.

Vehicles rush by unseen,
Passing without noticing anyone.
At the edge of the garden I sit,
Pen in hand, time pausing gently.

Sunlight spills softly on the table,
Words glow in the stillness.
Fading days and fleeting moments,
Become a song of silence within me.
