Nudity

Nudity

Nudity is not just the lack of clothes,
It’s a state where nothing hides or goes.
Before poverty, the body stands so bare,
Even dignity can offer no care.

Shame fills the eyes in silence deep,
Hands hug themselves as cold winds creep.
Words hesitate and fail to show,
Piercing stares make the heart beat slow.

Naked truth some may never embrace,
Society turns and hides its face.
Compassion watches in quiet refrain,
And the soul breaks softly under pain.
