Inner Spring (poem)

Inner Spring (poem)

Outside, the world stands quiet and bare,
Trees sleep without leaves or flowers to wear.
Cold winds whisper over empty streets,
Yet inside, warmth and comfort greets.

Thoughts bloom like petals in hidden light,
Poetry grows in hearts through the night.
Windows hold the silence of distant trees,
Inside, creation freely roams with ease.

In the external universe, winter reigns,
Yet within dreams, spring awakens and remains.
Soft colors of hope in every line,
A secret park, quiet and divine.

Leaves of memory, flowers of desire,
Warm the heart with a gentle fire.
Though nature sleeps and waits its time,
Inside, the soul endlessly sings with rhyme.
