Distance shelter

Distance shelter

A distant shelter softly calls my name
Darkened pathways fade away in flame
A distant shelter reaches out to me
Life begins to sing again, I’m free

With the wind my silent footsteps move
In the quiet, hearts begin to soothe
Tears that burned now melt into the ground
Slowly pain dissolves without a sound

Morning light awakens deep inside
Faith walks gently by my side
Lonely days have turned to strength once more
Time heals wounds I carried long before

A distant shelter softly calls my name
Darkened pathways fade away in flame
