Near infinity
Near infinity
Does the roaring sea laugh aloud?
Or does the restless wave quietly weep?
Is there a hidden string inside the soul
That listens with unending patience?
When a breeze brushes past your side,
Is there a wick that burns without fading?
Do the tender reeds sway and dance
To the rhythm of the unseen wind?
Infinite, unknown, indescribable—
Does anyone truly know it?
Does this revolving world spin on an axis?
Does even the sun travel its ordained path?
And does anything happen without His knowing?
For the one who thinks his greatness is supreme,
Is there any end to pride or vain display?
Fire, sky, water, air, and earth—he calls all his own,
Yet in the end, he returns to merely six feet of soil.
