Be That Again

When clouds looked like castles in the sky,
And laughter danced without a why,
When mornings glowed with endless play,
And dreams came running light as day.

When puddles sang beneath your feet,
And strangers’ smiles felt pure and sweet,
When stars were friends who softly gleamed,
And every moment brightly dreamed.

Now close your eyes, let worries wane,
Feel joy like sunshine after rain,
The child within still knows the tune —
Be that heart, so free, so soon.
