“In the Shade of Your Memory”

In the shadow of longing, I remain,
Silently thinking of you again.
Memories drift around like gentle winds,
Settling softly deep within my heart.

Even flowers bloom like your smile,
Telling truths in movements hidden awhile.
The wind carries scents that remind me of you,
A quiet ache rises, tender and true.

In places where you are not,
I walk seeking you, lost in thought.
Even in the shadow of the night,
Your memories linger, keeping me alight.
