Whispers of Rivers — On Humber’s Shore

Whispers of Rivers — On Humber’s Shore

Moonlight spreads on Humber’s side,
Ontario's waves sing with pride,
Toronto Tower glows in my sight,
In the poet’s valley of thoughts,
Dreams drift gently in the twilight.

Roads and people in constant motion,
Rail tracks hum, motors in action,
Skyscrapers touch the skies above,
While nature blossoms all around
In a perfect harmony of life and love.

Languages, cultures, side by side,
No walls of race or color divide,
Unity’s fragrance flows in the air,
As I stand and silently stare,
Eyes lifted high, tears laid bare.

From Ganga and Yamuna I have come,
Remembering Kaveri and Bharathapuzha's hum,
Periyar and Pampa dwell in my soul,
With Manimala’s tender whispers whole,
In India’s timeless spirit I stand,
And now I sing with Humber’s strand.
