Where the River Meets the Lake – Toronto

Where the River Meets the Lake – Toronto

By the banks where Humber flows,
I sat in silence, letting memories compose.
Curving gently, the river told
Its tale to the lake in whispers bold.

Above the rock, the wind would sing,
And city lights a hush would bring.
On the pages of my heart, with grace,
Words I etched, in lines took place.

Like Ganga’s grace and Pampa’s song,
Humber too flows, deep and strong.
Where river and lake become the same,
My thoughts turned music, free of name.
