Tea, Newspaper, and Life

A newspaper and a cup of tea,
once spread little joys so free,
today replaced by endless screens,
and sweetened drinks in glowing scenes.

Whether sitting or lying down,
these gadgets never leave our hands.
As paths of life keep shifting fast,
human values fade like sand.
Relationships mere shadows stand.

The warmth of tea no longer heals,
the world grows colder, hides what it feels.
Words turn into fleeting posts,
smiles reduced to signs at most.

Will the scent of printed page,
and a steaming cup from another age,
bring us back to those gentle days,
where humanness lit our ways?
