Survival

Survival

Storms may break the quiet sky,
Waves may rise and mountains sigh.

Roots hold firm in shaken ground,
Hope still blooms where loss is found.

Shadows fall but light will stay,
Steps keep moving through the way.

Tears may flow yet strength will grow,
Pain can teach what hearts must know.

Time rebuilds from ashes deep,
Dreams awaken when others sleep.

Life endures through trial’s test,
Courage lifts the soul to rest.
