Echoes of Childhood

Echoes of Childhood

Children ran through streets where sunlight danced,
Barefoot and free, hearts wide, hand in hand.
Morning paths painted with laughter bright,
Dreams unfolded gently, untouched by plight.

Now skyscrapers rise, shadows hide the ground,
The roar of money echoes, all around.

Pets are cherished, walked with tender pride,
While little ones reach for love denied.

Evenings belong to schedules, not play,
Babies arrive, then silently drift away.

Screens replace games, laughter dims and fades,
Human warmth now thin, in fragile shades.

Yet in quiet corners, memories glow,
Of simple joys, a long-lost dream we know.

Though the world forgets, hearts still believe:
Love for children matters more than we perceive.
