A Poet’s Thought

A Poet’s Thought

One poet whispers, Earth is free,
No lock, no chain, no boundary.
Mountains rise, and rivers flow,
For all who breathe, the gifts still glow.

By Toronto lake, calm waters gleam,
Swans in silence drift like dream.

No single hand can claim the land,
It lives for all, like shifting sand.
Birds, and men, and trees that grow,
Share the sky where seasons go.

The voice is gentle, yet strong and clear,
“The Earth belongs to all who are here.”
