Missteps

Missteps"

When shadows scatter across the skyline,
Some thoughts drift away from the soul.
Twists of fate tangle the compass,
And the echo of hope turns cold.

In moments when dreams are silenced,
Wrong choices drain the spirit.
Chilled words close silent doors,
And silence spreads within the heart.

Lights once seen now vanish afar,
Eyes grow weary in their search.
Like a flame beyond the chase,
Life stumbles in dizzying swirls.
