Lonely Thoughts – 88

Lonely Thoughts – 88

It’s simple to turn away with a gentle excuse,
But silence hurts when you’re lost and confused.
A smile can fade when no one replies,
And tears fall fast beneath quiet skies.

Time moves slow when hearts feel cold,
Lonely nights make the young feel old.
Hopes can dim like a setting sun,
When every door shuts and there's nowhere to run.

One word of care could light the way,
But absence grows with each passing day.
We long for warmth, not empty air,
Needing someone who’s truly there.
