Lonely Thoughts – 81

Shadows and Whispers

Some speak too loud in silent halls,
With names and glories they recall.
They wear the past like polished gold,
And measure worth in stories told.

Yet in the hush, a few just stay,
Their hearts have more than words to say.
No need to ask, no claim to prove,
They simply stand, they gently move.

Unseen, they hold what can't be shown,
Their comfort speaks in softer tone.
The proud may fade, their echoes cease,
But love walks on in quiet peace.
