Lonely Thoughts – 79

Lonely Thoughts – 79

When we ask with hope in eyes,
What we get are empty tries.
Like coins of little worth they seem,
Far away from our heart’s dream.

Love we chase with longing deep,
Is often shallow, cold, or cheap.
Not every smile or friendly face
Carries truth or warm embrace.

So take only what is truly kind,
That touches heart and calms the mind.
Not all that shines is meant to stay,
Let true hearts walk your way.
