Lonely Thoughts – 78

Lonely Thoughts – 78

Why the Wars?

In silence, a cradle lies empty tonight,

A mother weeps under fading light.

The sky once blue, now stained with fire,

Dreams of peace buried in the mire.

Innocent eyes search for grace,

A child's hope lost without a trace.

Fields once golden, now turned to dust,

Homes abandoned, broken by mistrust.

Leaders speak, but hearts don’t hear,

The cost of hate is always dear.

While flags rise high, lives fall low—

Why must this world still choose woe?
