Lonely Thoughts – 75

 Lonely Thoughts – 75

Fame that rises from selfish deeds

Fades like footprints on shifting sands.

Goodness blooms in silent hearts,

Not in noise or clapping hands.

Paper flowers may catch the eye,

But lack the breath of morning dew.

True fragrance spreads without a claim,

Its beauty known by just a few.

Empty prayers without the soul

Are like lamps without a flame.

Only truth can reach the skies,

Only love remembers the name.
