The soldier’s song

 The soldier’s song

O beloved, ask the koel singing in the fifth note,

In which breeze was this stream of melody born?

With the tricolor flag flying in the heart,

He sings a song stored deep in his chest.

Even in the desert, his song brings shade,

And gives rhythm to the cold, silent nights.

What even Chembai and Ulloor never sang,

Is this gentle stream of soulful sound.

In the shadow of the earth and the blue of the sky,

A rain of love blossoms in every heart.

The truth that speaks without a word—

The soldier’s song is a music of survival.
