 Lonely Thoughts – 47

Words We Speak

We choose our food with care each day,

And dress with thought in every way.

Yet what we say, we often miss,

A careless word, a moment's hiss.

From deep within, our voices rise,

Unmeasured thoughts, no calm, no guise.

Not all that's spoken can be erased,

Some leave hearts broken, deeply grazed.

So pause before you let words fly,

They might return and make you cry.

Be kind, be gentle, think it through—

What leaves your lips may shape what's true.
