God never leaves us alone
He stays close like a gentle shadow

He gives comfort when we cry
He stands with us in pain

When we are lost, He shows the way
He becomes the last hope that shines

When thoughts are confused, He gives peace
He gives strength to a tired heart

He gives us courage to start again
He holds our hand and guides us

He becomes light in the dark
He wakes us up with hope again
