Sixty Years of Journey

Sixty Years of Journey

Sixty years, a path well-tread,
Hurdles faced, yet never dread.
Grandfather now, a life so grand,
With parents still beside me stand.

From steel and stone, I built my way,
A civil engineer by night and day.
Across the states, I roamed with pride,
In distant lands, my dreams abide.

Through highs and lows, the winds did blow,
Yet poetry became my heart’s glow.
Soothing verses, my gentle guide,
In their rhythm, I found a tide.

Today I pause, I look behind,
Grateful for the ties that bind.
To have loved, lived, and dared to dream,
Sixty years like a flowing stream.

And still, the journey goes ahead,
With wisdom earned and love widespread.
A poet’s heart, a builder's mind,
In every verse, my soul I find.
