The art of lies

The art of lies

In shadows truth may often hide,
Where words deceive and hearts confide.
A gentle twist, a subtle bend,
The art of lies, a means to end.

With silver tongue, we weave the tale,
On fragile trust, our words prevail.
In whispered tones, the truth will veer,
And what was false may now appear.

Yet lies, like threads, may come undone,
When light reveals what’s been spun.
For truth endures where lies depart,
A fragile game, the liar's art.
