it makes me free

it makes me free

At first, the truth brings heavy sighs,
A burden in my heart, it lies,
A weight upon my weary soul,
A darkness that I can't control.

But as the days and nights go by,
The tears I shed begin to dry,
The truth, though harsh, begins to heal,
And clarity it does reveal.

From misery, I find my peace,
The chains of lies at last release,
For in the end, truth sets me free,
And brings me to my destiny.
