Our words suffocated

Our words suffocated

Beneath the moon's pale light,
Our voices struggle, fight.
Silence spreads its heavy cloak,
Choking dreams we never spoke.

Eyes that once shone so bright,
Now dim in the quiet night.
A touch that feels like a plea,
Yet bound by chains we cannot see.

Our hearts beat out of sync,
Lost in words we cannot think.
Love's breath now barely a sigh,
Whispering truths we let die.
