morning's first light.

morning's first light.

The sun peeks over the hill,
Soft light, the world stands still.
In the yard, I stretch and yawn,
Greeting the gentle, glowing dawn.

Birds chirp in the morning air,
Whiskers twitch, without a care.
Golden rays warm my fur,
A new day's magic starts to stir.

Chasing shadows, feeling free,
The sunrise is a gift to me.
A simple joy, a wondrous sight,
Bathed in the morning's first light.
