Painted as smile in this world

Painted as smile  in this world

I have no interest in this world,
For I have seen many colors swirl,
Painted as smiles, but hiding pain,
Masks worn to hide the sorrow's stain.

Faces bright with colors bold,
Yet behind, the heart grows cold.
A canvas of joy, a pretense so vast,
But the vibrant hues, they never last.

In this world of false delight,
True feelings stay out of sight.
I seek a place where hearts are true,
A world painted in honest hues.
